Frankie  Lou  Waters

Frankie Lou Waters, 94, passed away August 8, 2010 at her residence. She was born February 13, 1916 to James Clifton and Annie Elizabeth Martin Waters of Statesboro. She was married 59 years to Henry B. Waters who preceded her in death and who was owner of Henry B. Waters Construction Company. Mr. and Mrs. Waters lived most of their lives in Savannah where she was a homemaker.

Frankie came from a large and loving family and lived a long, happy full life with her happiest times being surrounded by her family at family gatherings. She was affectionately known as "Naner", "Nana" and "Aunt Frank-Frank". She was preceded in death by brothers, Vernon Waters, George Swinton Waters, Thomas William Waters, James Klaris Waters all of Statesboro, James J.C. Waters of Savannah; sisters, Melrose Waters, Sybil Waters, Myrtle Williams all of Statesboro; Nathalee Rountree, Mary Frances Williams, Euella McCorkle and Ronella McCallar all of Savannah.

She was a charter member of Immanuel Baptist Church and a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class.

Surviving are her daughter, Sylvia Ann Waters Glisson Eugene and son, Henry Lewis H.L. Waters Linda all of Savannah; her granddaughter, Pamela Diane Waters Brinck Norman and precious great-granddaughter, Amanda Grace Brinck. Other survivors include sisters, Zenta Lee Goss of Orlando; Theranell Tanner and Annie Mae Motes both of Statesboro and brother, Waldo Waters also of Statesboro. Frankie had many nieces and nephews that she loved as if they were her own. She will be sadly missed.

Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

Funeral: 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 11, 2010 in the Hodgson Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors.

Burial: Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
